Revisiting Artwork

After going through some of my past artwork, I felt that some of them needed a little bit of new life added into them. Not that they weren't great before, but it's spring time, let's get popping and jazz these puppies up! :)

Here in particular was my Wagon invitation for a baby shower. Originally it was a clean design with a wagon on a blue background.


And here I decided to add in some stripes and a banner across the top. I think it now has a little more character and is much more exciting. What do you think?

Fire Fighter Birthday

I was so excited when Nikki asked me to create invites for her little man's birthday party. She's such a creative one and so much fun to work with. This year's theme was Fire Fighting.

These days there are so many fun creative ways to decorate Children's rooms and so many things to make them personal it's amazing. I recently had a daughter and wanted something to hang in her room that was about her. Of course we have lots of pictures of her around and her little hand prints. But I thought it would be fun to tie in some artwork that had her name and birth information on it to hang as well. I had so much fun creating it, I started to do a line of them with all kinds of themes to tie in to other rooms as well. They have become quite the hit and are also great for shower and newborn gifts!

Easter is on it's way

With Easter just around the corner, the decorations are starting to hit the store shelves {along with all that yummy Easter Candy}. I have been busy getting things ready for spring around our home and LOVE that the cherry trees are about to bloom and signs of tulips are sprouting up around the yard! Gets me excited Easter even more. With my unsuccessful attempt to send out Christmas cards this year, I thought I would send out Easter ones instead to close Friends and Family to wish them a Happy, ermm, Hoppy Easter! I have put a couple Easter cards on my esty page (seller name polkaprints) to share with you all and lowered my prices for this eggcellent holiday! :)

Cards into Cakes

I was sent some pictures from a customer of mine who had ordered a personalized birthday card from my etsy site. I worked very closely with her to get the colors and style down to a "T" and just right for her son's First birthday party. She had created an adorable banner that I styled the design off of and match the colors to. From there she was able to take our custom invite to her cake decorator where they came up with this AMAZING cake to match.

She couldn't be happier with the outcome {Whoo couldn't, what an awesome cake!}

For your next party, don't stop at just the invite, see if you can have your cake tie into the party theme as well! It will be a hit!
